Homestays, Voluntourism, and Agritourism

Home stays allow trekkers to experience everyday life in East Africa by staying with host families. All homestays are interactive, hands-on journeys that incorporate experiential learning techniques and interaction to provide a truly unique cultural experience. Homestays provide trekkers the opportunity to participate in daily meal preparation, learn traditional arts, crafts, music, and dance, and engage in cross-cultural discussion. Homestays may also incorporate "voluntourism" and "agritourism" and development activities.

Homestays are available in both rural and urban settings and range from overnight to extended stays.
